I have this Hoei Super Space Stranger cocktail I've been restoring, one of the outstanding issues is moisture has become trapped between the glass and the tinted sheet that sits under it, causing blotches that move around with pressure. There's some kind of white seal around the glass, I'm not sure what extra adhesive may be there, the bezel part is taped to the wood under this. Tried pushing, it starts to flex at the sea but the amount of pressure was higher than I felt comfortable with.

Anyone seen this before? Manual doesn't have a detailed cab assembly diagram.

I haven't done this but I'd use a needle with fishing line threaded. Poke through the seal with the needle and then use the line to cut. That's how they do glued windshields.

No way to get a needle through - as far as the black border on the glass is solid wood underneath. Also I need to get it apart without ruining the seal as replacing it will be impossible. I've been searching around trying to even find another one constructed this way in case I could find a scrap machine to ruin finding out.

That's the interesting thing, the seal doesnt seem to be stuck to the glass, i can wedge paper in there if I want, and yet it won't budge. I wonder if there's adhesive somewhere.
I have had a couple machines where I thought it was adhesive, but it was just compression and settling over time were it was pretty much just "stuck" in position.
maybe just needs a little attitude adjustment and a bit more force. I really did like the idea of the thread from @KazooBR also

If that's the case, the next thing I was going to suggest was heat. Warming the glass (gently) with a heat gun or hair dryer might loosen it up.

Post a better picture of the seal. Is it actually grooved in the center and that's holding the glass in? Like this ….?

Is that window glaze cord?

I can't see a join where one end meets another. It does seem like it's supposed to be adhesive since when I make a small gap on the wood side I can see a few wood fibres on it. Best photo I could manage:

Why can't you remove the layers from the bottom?

I would go straight down the glass edge with a utility knife and then push it out from the back. If there is any adhesion on the minimal flat back surface, I think that if you free up the sides with a clean cut, the rest will lift off with a little help. You can also get a spudger or use a guitar pick to break free the back side once you release the sides with knife. Similar to removing iPhone screens.

Good Luck!

I second a spudger, or maybe a putty knife given the picture.
