How to Remove Broke Key

I think if you pull the lock core out of the housing, then the pins are free and the key will fall out. My memory is bad, but I beleive that's how I dealt with that exact issue a few years ago.

Can't get to the back side of the lock as it's the bottom "coin drawer" coin door...no access from the inside.

If you can see the Key and it has enough surface area, you might be able to super glue something to it to try and pull it out. I'm not sure if the bond would be strong enough to hold though.

Replacememt locks/cores are cheap. Save yourself the stress of trying to remove the broken piece and just drill the center out of the lock, then the tumblers will fall out and you can get in.

Tweezers, file down the side if required.

+1 i also have a pair of small "micro" needlenose pliers that i ground down to make even thinner and those work well..

the best way to get a broke ney out is to drill a small hole in the back of the lock then push the piece of key out with a thin sharp pick unfortunately not a option in your case...

Did you break the key in the lock?

A piece of steel banding or dental picks can pluck out the key. I've seen people use a piece of a broken hacksaw blade pull it out.

...that is unless the breaker broker the wrong key in there. I'll give it a go though.

I just did this - tried opening the back door of my Bull Fight with the coin door key instead of the back door key (which was hanging on the coin door inside, natch).

Needlenose pliers - small ones - just *barely* grabbed a tiny bit of surface area of what was left of the key in the lock, and it came right out. Couldn't do it with tweezers; no grip, not enough tensile strength.
