How to mask around curves to paint on Ms Pac Kick Plate

I need to repaint the pink on the kick plate of my Ms Pac. Can anyone share some tips for masking curved areas? Has anyone tried liquid mask rather than tape?

Use a thin green masking tape - it's actually a plastic tape. You can get it at an auto body shop. Works like a champ.
Cheers,
Ray

I wrote this on another thread. My Technique using Liquid latex for Masking:

Now I am going to place My Romstar/ Capcom Ghost 'n Goblins Instruction decal kit on it.

I am glad to see that. This is the liquid stuff that I was looking at. One thing that was stopping me was a warning not to use it on porous surfaces. Have you used it on the artwork side of cabs or just the back?

It will not damage side art. You can test it if you like on any kind of decals.

I mainly use the liquid latex on my model building. I build & paint on high end limited run japanese Resin model kits on the side.
As far as arcade stuff, you'll be fine, Just be patient with the razor when removing the latex that you do not need.

Give it a shot. you can find the latex at any hobby shop.
