On my EK pin, the head box is currently removed. I need to put it back on the body. Are there specific size bolts required? Also, does the threaded side of the bolt go down into the body so only the heads of the bolts can be seen in the head box? Thanks!

The only thing you DON'T want to do is get a bolt that's 1/2" too long and have the threads bottom out in the t-nut underneath. You can end up spinning the t-nut and you've got a real problem on your hands. This happened to a Meteor I was picking up out of a guy's basement one time and I had to cut the bolt with an angle grinder. It was ugly.

The heads of the bolts are 9/16. Thread size is the same as the leg bolts, so if you don't have any, take one along to get the right thread size. The head bolt is about an inch longer than the leg bolt, with a washer. There will be four of them.

Best way to put the head on is to line up the square cutout in the bottom of the head with the square cutout in the top of the body. Make sure you pull the line cord out first and get it in it's slot, or you'll be cussing up a storm after you have it bolted in. Then get some bolts in and adjust as necessary until all four will freely turn in their sockets. Make the backs of the head and body are flush, then tighten them down. Don't forget to connect the ground strap from the body to the ground strap of the head (one screw).

That's almost as bad a the guy who put loctite in the holes before he put the bolts in. The t-nuts below started spinning when I tried to take them out. It was a bitch to get the bolts out. I had to get something underneath to hold the t-nut still while I twisted from above. I think they eventually snapped from the torque...
