I really wish these instructions where just a tad bit clearer. The no brainer part they choose to illustrate while the more complicated part they kind of glossed over. Here is the cryptic passage

"Using the two provided wires, connect the two ends to the A.C. L and A.C N terminals. Next
connect the other ends to the two wires feeding power to the monitor. Normally these are Black
and White wires near the monitor."

So I am pretty sure I have to splice into those wires. Is there some posts I could screw into? or and easier way then cutting wires?

Also does it matter what color goes to the ACL and ACN terminal?

I also wonder if all will be clear once the PS arrives. its suppose to be here tomorrow and I was looking over the instructions, maybe I will understand more when I see it in person.

They're referring to the AC input- Line and Neutral.
You should be able to figure out which side of the AC cord is Neutral- it has no voltage on it when measured against the ground leg.

That's why they refer to it like that- one wire is neutral with respect to ground and the other one carries the entire line voltage.

If you have an original Tron power assembly, there should be a junction block near the main transformer with some lugs that are easy to connect quarter-inch-disconnect connectors to. They are used to distribute the main AC voltage to all the light fixtures.

I had a spare lug on this block and was able to use that for AC. A little nicer looking than splicing in wires. You will still have to strip and crimp connectors onto a piece of lamp cord or something. I used a piece of PC power cord.

You shouldn't have to splice anything. Your kit should have come with a set of yellow wires that substitute the "lamp wires" that the cryptic instructions refer to. On the end of that yellow wire there should be a blue "clamp". This is your splice. You just have to find the correct two wires and just pinch it on to them...that creates the splice without having to cut or strip anything. And you're right about the instructions...the pictures are ridiculous. If I remember, I'll try to move my cab and take pics of mine this weekend...if you can wait that long.

It probably depends on where you get you 'kit' from.

I got my MCR Switcher Adapter directly from Wizzes Workshop and there was no cord or wire splicers included.

I don't like the wire splicers, but there aren't many options for hooking up to the AC supply in the cabinet. Personally, I thought my solution was rather elegant. :)

I can wait. I still haven't got the PS in yet, suppose to be today but you know how that goes. Definitely post the pics, it will help me and I know it will help others.

I saw the block and wondered if I could tap into it, I am still funny on the Line and Neutral. I saw on the schematic which monitor wire holds the power so now I know which one is Line and Neutral there but if I tap into the block where would the neutral go.

I am sure this is easy, I just cant wrap my primitive reptile mind around it just yet.
