How to incorporate Jamma in Galaxian using existing wiring?

Do to a limited space for cabinets, I would like to incorporate a jamma hookup for a 60 in 1 into a Galaxian cabinet in a non-destructive way so it could be returned to a dedicated cabinet if I decided to do so later.

What is the best way to incorporate this into my existing wiring? I am trying to avoid having to rewire the entire cabinet. I know that I will need a different power supply to run the board, a jamma connector for the board, and a different control panel. (I am going to put the original control panel aside so i could switch it back) I would like to avoid having to rewire power to marquee lights, monitor, speaker, etc.

If you get the proper Jamma adapter, you won't need a new power supply, but you will need to run some extra wiring from it to your new control panel for the extra button(s) and 4/8-way joystick since Galaxian doesn't have wiring for those. Everything else should stay the same...

Galaxian has its power supply on the logic board....no go on that. He'd need to remove the transformer board and harness, which is no big deal. Takes about 10 mins. Then he can put in whatever harness he wants.

I'd personally wire the cab for JAMMA, invest in a JAMMA to Galaxian board, and mod the Galaxian board for DC power.

I'm not usually a fan of modifying boards, but it should have been designed that way in the first place.

Well back when it was designed, it was quite common to have the rectifier diodes and filter caps/regs on the main board. Atari did this alot on the 70s hardware as did others. I assume it was done for ease of testing. If a board was sent in for repair they could test everything but the power xfmr in one shot.

A proper adapter - like I recommended - would have the rectifying built-in (like certain Pac adapters) to convert the AC to DC for the 60-in-1 board. It may need to be custom built - as I don't know anyone who sells one already for that purpose - but it would be the most uninvasive.

I'd just install a switcher, then a new JAMMA harness for just the video sound and control panel (maybe coin door if I cared) without removing or disconnecting anything of the original harness except for the speaker wires and the connector to the control panel and Galaxian pcb. Easy to take it out later and reconnect the stuff to make it Galaxian again...
