How is this held in place??? I can't figure out how the metal panel under the CPO is held in place to the wood CP.

It doesn't seem to be screwed in or anything from the bottom . I can get a little separation around the edges but that's it.

I want to ditch the metal so I can drill in button holes to do Numan Athletics 4P on my old Blitz CP.

It's probably glued.

Why do you want to remove it?

Do you want to save it?

I'd start with HEAT and a putty knife working around the edges, breaking the bond. If you don't want to bend up the panel, you'll need to get a longer putty knife since it's probably glued all the way across, or use a thin metal ruler (steel) like a metal yardstick I used to have some some lithograph company.

It will be a lot of work.

Thanks for the stuff to try!

I can live without the Plexi .

I want to drill three buttons for player 1 to be standing on the extreme left side of the machine , like ninja Turtles.

But I don't think I can drill through this metal underlay can i?

I think that will be okay for three players . Then I'll try putting three buttons for player four on the extreme right side of the CP .

I need a four-player Numan Athletics CP , which doesn't need a joystick . And I just never going to need this Blitz two player panel for anything . I just got an extremely cheap Golden Tee , which was originally a Mortal Kombat , so the blitz CP fits it perfectly .

You can drill through anything with the right drill and bit. You'll need a bit rated for metal, it will cut through the metal and then the wood.

Or go at it with a putty knife and heat, and pry it away. If you aren't trying to save it. If the glue is that tight and you go medieval on it, you could pull up chunks of the plywood, and then you'd have to bondo or resin repair that.
