How to bypass back-door lock on Sega Turbo

I don't have a key for this, any way to get around it? It's not as basic as an Asteroids lock where you can slide some thin metal above to turn it.

Ok, elephant in the room here... Have you removed that Philips screw that is what actually looks to be holding the door? Odds are the lock cam has been removed years ago.

First try this, then try picking it.

Google "pick cylinder lock with pen".
 
Cheap tube locks can sometimes be defeated with a bic-pen, if you want to get fancy (and have $50 to blow) you can buy a tube-lock pick which are incredibly easy to use.

But yeah I'd bet that screw is doing more than the lock at this point.

EDIT: looks like tstone beat me to the bic-pen trick :)
 
So I gave the bic pen thing a try, no go, the tumbler looks like it was pick-attempted at some point.

I drilled it out. Thumb-locks are the way to go in a home arcade anyway. :D
