I purchased a multi Taito and tried it in two cabinets. I can hear the sound but it is so low you have to put your ear to the speaker. I cannot get it to go into a test or service mode and there is no volume control on the board. How is this resolved?

Nothing like finding the answer; Woohoo

On the main menu screen you need a player 2 stick and push up to increase volume and down to decrease. Or like me simply tap the wire from the harness against a ground.

Kind of a goofy way to do it, but I guess it works (the joystick way, not your way). :)

On a related note, anybody have a manual or link to instructions for these boards with things like this? (e.g. volume, exit to menu, etc)

I would also like that booklet. To exit back to main menu you run the tilt switch to a push button. Nice thing about this board is that you can exit anytime and do not need to wait until a game is over.

From my recollection...

The inputs that would NORMALLY go to P2 UP/DOWN are the VOLUME UP/DOWN on the harness. I installed a microswitch to each and had them sitting in the coin door so I could increase/decrease volume.

If it's not P2 UP/DOWN it's P2 LEFT/RIGHT but I am about 80% sure it was UP/DOWN.

EDIT: Whoops ... the OP's question has been answered... as for the manual... I dunno.

i have a manual for the 10-game version (i'm pretty sure it's the same) that i scanned a few years ago. i can e-mail it to anyone who wants a copy, though it's pretty slim in terms of information.
