It looks pretty ugly, but how bad does it look to all of you professionals?

Wow, why did someone insulate it? LOL.

To make it nicer to live in.

And yeah OP, that chassis is fine, just a bit dirty. Hose it down in the sink with warm water, take a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol to whatever doesn't rinse off, let it dry 2-3 days.

looks almost like any other chassis i repair.

i very rarely see a K7000 that looks better than that.

a little wash and it will look fantastic.

The K7000 I am sending you is cherry then. It still looks fairly new. The Lethal Enforcers 2 cabinet only had two owners. It was never on a route, only in the homes of the owners. The one above is from the cab with the monitor that is missing a color or two. I want to learn to do cap kits and flybacks, so I will use this one for my experimentation...lol.

But your backspalsh however looks totally trashed. You should send it here for me to use on my soul calibur cabinet!

I am cutting a new piece of wood for the CP. If you were in Southern California you could come pick it up...lol. I am pulling out the buttons and joysticks though...I am turning it into a 1315 in 1.

yup when a game has never been on rout it generally will look clean like yours.

the rout machines are dirty as all get out.

Even in my short years of collecting/repairing, I've seen a lot of boards way worse than what you pictured in the first post. It's a godsend when you come across a chassis like that, it means you don't need to pull out the hazmat suit before even starting to look at the board.

That's the ugliest one I have...lol. The one in my Big Blue still looks almost new too. The Z-back I have is pretty good too, as far as aesthetics. I guess I have been lucky so far with the cabinets I've bought. The Big Blue was $250 and I sold the board in it for $50, so it ended up costing $200. It's in great condition too.

The K4900 in my BurgerTime is pretty rough. The bottom right part of the chassis is cracked and it had all of its traces jumped to make it work again.
