I found a Police Trainer Cab on EB that seems to be in 100% working condition. The seller has stated that he has set the machine to free play, and that he has removed the coin mechs and related parts. I emailed him a couple of question since Police Trainer is #2 on my most wanted list. The questions and answers can be seen below. My question is what do you think the machine is worth? He seems to be selling jukeboxes, pool tables, and arcade games, yet does not know about screen burn. hmm.

Q1)Does the monitor have any burn in from other games other than Police Trainer?
A1)I don't know about screen burn.

Q2)Are the guns red and blue shooting accurately?
A2)The guns are accurate and work 100%.

Q3)Besides the coin mechs/locks/security bar, what if any other parts have been removed?
A3)Everything behind the coin door has been removed.

$200-$350 range is about right. If the guns and board are working 100%. I wouldn't worry to much about the screen burn at that price.

I concur with jjman. I'd pay $250 for a good solid Police Trainer in a Dynamo cab near me right now if there was one. I'm really wanting that game. I use to hate it, because it would eat the hell out of my quarters, but I'd love to get it in the house for freeplay.

I think the value would top out around $350. They can still earn money on route, so ops don't want to let them go for too much less than that.

Working PT PCB only, 30-50 among friends... up to maybe 100 retail.

Most Police Trainers were conversions, its value depends a lot on the cabinet it's in and monitor in that cabinet. Cabinet type/size/condition could vary too wildly to speculate, but for the rest of it... you're likely looking at:

-a 25" monitor that may need a cap kit, and likely has some level of burn-in.
-a functioning power supply
-a harness that may or may not have been hacked in the conversion process(es)

Regarding the guns and accuracy... most gun issues are actually monitor issues. The little PCB in a gun is pretty simple and robust; if the optical sensor works, odds are good that it's just fine.

Good luck. I picked up a PT (Lethal Enforcers conversion) dead from an auction a while back. While I am converting it back to LE, I still enjoy playing PT in it.

I have seen three or four in Wisconsin/Chicago area go for the $300.00 range. That is pretty standard.

If the conversion was done well, it isn't too hard to swap in other JAMMA gun games. The expensive part on most gun games are the guns. And if they are the HAPP .45 guns they are pretty tough guns.

If you don't get this one though be patient as this game comes up enough where I wouldn't consider this a one time steal either.

I've seen them in my area for $250-350. If I had the space I'd think about picking one up, as far as shooters go this is prob. my favorite (excluding silent scope)
