how much for a modern grail game

All of the Namco blowback guns are the same and I have some Happ 45's on a Pointblank conversion. I would expect standard Happ 45's to work on this machine as well. I just want to swap them out cause

I dont recall if VN uses iR or std light guns. If it uses std light guns then Happ 45's will work and will probably work better then the factory guns. If VN uses the iR guns (which for some reason I'm thinking it does) then you will be stuck with them.

If this game is really your grail, I say get it or regret it.

And since you're going to put it on route, at least you'll get some of the money back you spent to buy it. So spending $1000 shouldn't hurt for too long.

After thinking about it more

I'm getting this instead.

I found a nice deal on ebay and it's not too far to ship

Shipped it'll end up being $350 which is a good deal.

I like Vampire Night the most but HoTD is close and VC is a good series also.
Maybe I save up and still get Vampire Night. I doubt it'll move from this guy that has it here. He's had Sunset Riders on sale for a year.

Had your vampire game at Milwaukee Superauction in December for $250.00, If you NEED it now you are overpaying, keep your eyes open and pay a fair price...

yeah if only that was around me... can't get all of them... I only went to one auction with the intent to buy and that was with my station wagon. I went away with a nice V1 4 Slot Neo Geo which I still have but wish I could go to more with a trailer hitch.

So I gotta ask...what's the appeal of Vampire Night? Is it really a light gun gem that happened to miss everyone's radar?

I'm with everyone else. Hold out a little bit. If you really want it, it will pop up again at a better price.

Nice Virtua Cop 2. There is something about that cabinet style that I really like for lightgun games. It seems compact in design. :p I ran into a Japanese HOTD1 sitting in a similar cabinet, but dude wanted 800 for it. F that. ;)

Namco guns are more accurate.
VN gameplay is more about sharp shooting and less about mowing down masses
Graphics are better
Blowback Guns make a big difference to effect immersion
