When you buy something off of KLOV, what type of feedback rating are you looking for before you pull the trigger?

Quite obvious are people with a "Born" date pre-2007, what about the others?

Persons with good feedback

I leave feedback for every transaction. It's another way of saying "thanks" to someone for a good transaction. It also lets others know that they are good to deal with.Just my .02...

I usually leave a short description and thanks to whoever I've dealt with. I expect the same in return. If they don't, I'm not going to complain. As long as the deal went smoothly, I'm happy. It just seems like it would be a common courtesy to leave feedback though.

I look for someone who is really into the hobby and is here alot. The way I figure it...one bad transaction and they will be scared for life on these boards. Ive had a few people i put trust in and a few that put trust in me and got lucky that everything went smooth.

i just recently shipped 4 Konami PCBs to a user in Japan; his account has been active for at least a couple of years and he has an extensive listing of his games on VAPS but he also has no posts and (before our transaction) no feeback. i was wary of doing the deal but i figured i'd give it a shot and thankfully everything went well, and i even got the delivery confirmation card back a few days after he received everything.

i would typically only deal with local people where i can do it in person, or well known people on here. i would probably ignore feedback unless it was someone i didn't know, which in that case i'd check it. but usually people that have shady dealings have threads or posts on here by others in relation to it, so...

I won't buy from anyone who's posts are only in the for sale section if they're a new member.

I didn't have any rules about who I would sell to but that's going to change. I won't sell to new members without posts, trade history on here or other boards, or anyone who I feel isn't knowledgeable about the item they're purchasing.

I won't buy or sell with the ops who pretend to be into the hobby, but will only buy low, and only sell high.

Feedback

Depends what the item is. I know who all the regulars are and know who not to deal with. I will take a chance on a new user if it is a part I think I am going to have a hard time finding or if I have a little time to wait. If it is a few bucks for a new one from one of the stores. I just go that way. I bought 3 boards off of people in the last 2 weeks with less than 50 posts and all three deals worked out great. I think Join date is real important to most. More so than feedback.

I guess I'm just stupid because I've spent a fair amount of time looking at how to leave feedback, but can't do it. I've found where I can view a person's feedback, but not leave it...

I never even look at feedback. if they've been here long enough, I will generally have a "feel" for their reputation, and I'm here often enough that I would have seen someone bitching about them.

if they are new and respond to PMs or questions with short answers like "No." "yes." etc, then I skip them because they are most likely an idiot, or if they are too busy to type out a complete sentence, then they are probably too busy to actually make sure the item is as described, pack it properly, or ship it in a timey manner.

And it doesn't matter how good the feedback is, if they say "make an offer", then I move along to the next person...

It could be easier. Click on a member's profile then go to feedback score. When you get to feedback score you have to click the 'view full profile for xxx' and that will take you to a page with the option to leave feedback. It could be easier.....

Funny guy! ;)

Basically, I'm asking if you will trade with a New Member here for a rare or cheap part? Or, do you pass and wait for someone more reputable?

I would look at what they have posted, or if anyone else has posted anything about them. If I don't like what I've read, then I pass.

Length of time on here isn't a great indicator, as there are people that have been on here for a long time that I would never deal with. At the same time, there are people on here that have only been here for a short time, say Mar 2007 for example, that I wouldn't have any problems dealing with.
