How much Airspace / breathing room does a typical jamma need (shelving multi jamma)
i'm trying to cram 10 games in 1 24x24x36 area shelf style (strapped for space and don't have room for a 2nd cabinet). i'm wondering how much space is needed in between pcb boards, basicly i figure i can bolt games to both sides of a 24x24 piece of wood therefore ultimately having 4 boards on 1 piece. i'm just wondering how much airspace there should be between the boards so heat won't be a problem...
now that i think about this would having the boards upside down be a bad thing since heat would want to travel up through the PCB?
anyways, i figure if i give 7" of space between each piece of wood that might be enough room and give them around 1.5" of space between the opposing board (figure each board is max 2.5" tall including pcb feet).
also my cabinet doesn't stay on for long periods of time (no more than 1-2 hours per week tops). I've seen those 6 in 1 jamma switches and from what i see they leave little room between boards (less than 1" in some cases), unfortunately i don't think that will work with cps2 boards or i'd think about getting one myself.
any input would be greatly appreciated
