....until Zelda comes out.
Still no support for standard DVD or BluRay? Pass.
Nintendo will NEVER pay royalties for movie playback...and I want a GAME CONSOLE, not a goddamn overpriced home theatre system. There's plenty of pre-built HTPC solutions to do this, and better than any game console will ever be able to do.
Systems launching at $500+ to cover royalties and added unnecessary hardware for playing games, is not something I'll EVER pay for.
I still remember Sony saying people would get a second job to buy their system...morons, the PS3 came very close to being an outright failure at launch, Sheeple Fanboys kept it afloat until price-cut time.
You 2 read my mind. Just let a game system be a game system, besides at this point Who doesn't have a blueray player or dvd player anyways. I have like 3 sitting in my garage, on top of my vcrs and a beta that i dont use but just cant throw outGlad you said it, because my first thought was the same thing.
It is a GAME SYSTEM... I already have a blu-ray player that does DVD...
Only reason I would pre-order one is to sell for profit. I have 0 interest in the Wii-U.
You have a point. Who'd ever want a device to do more than one thing...that's crazy...I like having a tangle of wires behind my TV...that's why God invent zip ties, right? Imagine if they made a camera inside a phone that tells the time, plays mp3s (or mp4s) and has gps? No one would ever buy such a monstrosity. ;-)
Name one good Wii game that was released in North America and not Europe?0. Echoing what was said above, already have too many games and not enough time to play them all.
Plus the Wii U is region locked, which sucks for us Aussies.
