I just watched it again with my 14 year old son,i dont know how many times ive seen it but it has been ALOT!! my father took me to see it at the theatre when it came out. just wondering if im the only one that still watches it?

Once when I was about 9 or 10. Other than all the neon stuff I dont remember crap.

Is it any good?

probably 4 or 5 times. Once in the theater and once on dvd. probably seen it on cable a few times. When it comes out on blu-ray I will buy it..

I am sure I will watch it again before I see the new movie. Just don't know if I want to bother seeing the new movie in 3d.. I hate 3d movies(Wearing 3d glasses suck when you already wear glasses).. Now Imax, well thats a different story..

Saw it once in the theatre when it came out, and saw it on DVD earlier this year.

All things considered, I thought it all held up pretty well despite its age. My wife, who had never see it before, admitted that it was much better than she thought it was going to be.

I've watched it about 4 or 5 times. I never saw it in the theater and got the DVD for Xmas about 3 years ago, so that was the first time I saw it.

While we're on the subject....why the hell is it so hard to find a copy?? I refuse to pay the thirty and forty dollars they are asking online, and no one carries it in stores. I work for best buy and I've checked the inventory of nearly every store in the company and no one has it...I'm assuming maybe they are holding out and planning on releasing a special edition, but I cant find anything online to back that up... Even netflix doesnt have it!

I'm sure they're waiting till the end of the year for the Blu ray realease to coincide with the release of the new movie....

I know you work for BB but I rather shop for movies at Frye's, if you have one. They have more of a diversified selection of movies and cheaper as well....

Wow, $39 used on Amazon... hmm, maybe I should sell mine :D
That is unreal.

Exactly 3 times. My mom took me to see it in the theatre in '82, then I bought the 2 disc special edition last year and have watched that one twice. Once on my own, then once with my daughter. I like it much better now than I did as a 9 year old.

Somewhere above 20 - when you're a kid you'll watch anything over and over again. I watched Ghostbusters and The Black Hole tons of times too. I have the 20th Anniversary DVD and it's one of the few movies I've watched the special features to including the movie commentary. It's incredible the amount of work that went into that film to give it it's look.

As for a new DVD release, they will have a remastered version of TRON out on Blu-Ray hopefully before Christmas.

Once.

I thought the film dragged in parts, but the good stuff was really enjoyable. I'd be willing to bet that the second movie is going to be a lot better, even if it doesn't become the "classic" the first one is.

Yeah, unfortunately we dont have those anywhere around here. Sadly, best buy as a company is slowly scaling their movie selection back month by month. Online streaming hasnt only destroyed blockbuster, it has hit the retail stores as well. Such is life I guess...
