O.K. We always hear about the parted out games, or the games someone just picked up that they're gonna restore. But I always wonder, how many games out there that are fully restored? Surely the numbers must be growing. All of us KLOV'ers past and present and even the old timers from RGVAC must be making a difference in the arcade "dying to living" ratio, while not fully reversing the trend, at least stemming the tide...

So I say to you fellow KLOV'ers:

"How many, and which titles, have you fully restored back into the arcade ecosystem, thereby helping your fellow arcade preservationists past, present, and future?"

For me, the list is as follows, although I don't own many of these anymore, I still consider them my babies.

Tempest Cocktail
Pole Position
Battlezone
Pacman
Tempest
Mortal Kombat II
Donkey Kong
Centipede

I've never sold a game, but these are my resto projects ATM:
Jr. Pac-Man Custom restore with custom art
Ms. Pac-Man, almost complete

I have a SF2 Turbo and a Puzzle Fighter that I brought back from the dead, but the latter never had a dedicated kit IIRC. The SF2 Turbo is as-shipped in the H5, I lucked out and got all the needed pieces. I saved a MK2 but got an offer I couldn't refuse and had to let it go. I hope I'll come across another. :)

Restored by me:

Donkey Kong
Pole Position
Space Invaders
Wizard of Wor
Gorf
Omega Race
Frogger
Battlezone

Saved from lousy Convertions and put back to orginal

Space duel
Missile Command
Q*bert
Gravitar
Sinistar
Joust Cocktail
Crazy Climber

I consider these restored. Doesn't have to be perfect.

In the hobby for a year now and have saved the following games:

Afterburner II - had no monitor bad controls and missing parts
Jungle King - was non functional with hunt artwork
Crazy Climber - poor 10 yard fight conversion
Gem Fighter - from non functional Teken hs5
Puzzle Fighter - saved ha5 from mame
Street Fighter - the Movie saved hs5 from mame
SF Alpha 2 - big blue save
Elevator Action - parts from poor WOW conversion and gutted taito cab
Tron - dead cabinet with water damage
Bosconian - dead board and got Rich artwork for repels
Ms PAC X2 - 1 with dead board and monitor, 1 with no board or monitor
Donkey Kong - no monitor or board
Popeye - Kung fu special forces conversion
NeGeo - was no monitor no board no power supply
MVC 1 - hs5 no board monitor or wiring water damaged cab

I'm cheap so most of my cabs were restores

Im in the process of restoring my 3rd arcade. The first one was Mario Bros I restored 2 years ago. I just completed restoring a single monitor Playchoice and now I received a dual monitor Playchoice 10 yesterday. Each game worked when I got them but the outside was in really bad shape on all of them.
I wish I could get more but I don't have the room.

I am not a big fan of restoration. If the cab is not in good shape, find another one. Keep tradign up until you find a really nice example. With that said, if you want to say a game brought back from conversion:

duramold blaster: Bought at auction converted to 10 yard fight. Tracked down all the parts and converted it back. Eventully sold it as I found a better one.

crazy climber #1: got at auction converted to track and field. tracked down parts and made it back into CC. Sold it when I found a better one.

Crazy climber #2: got it at auction coverted into do run run. Converted it back to CC and sold it when I found a better one.

crazy Climber #3: picked up a deluxe cab minus control panel. Tracked down a control panel for it. Still have it.

robotron: converted to rastan. Tracked down the parts, converted it back. Sold it when I got a better one(home owned?) that was owned by an activision programmer.

crystal castles: converted to knuckle joe. Tracked down all the parts and converted it back. 1st and last game I tried to remove the paint on painted over side art. Came out decent, but WAY too much work.

smash tv: converted to area 51 site 4. Saw it on CL, I had the parts, so I converted it back. Still have it.

Ms. Pac Man
DK jr.
Q*bert
Demo derby
Ice cold beer
Pengo
Frenzy
Galaga

Not that it counts but I brought back a trashes Galaga/Bostonian that was converted to clash road to a mint 48 in 1 Galaga which looked 100% dedicated. Better than the dumpster. Also I fully created a d2k. Currently restoring a pepper II and a donkey kong.
