How many people have a Pac/Ms.Pac in their collection...

...just to shut people up?

It always seems that the first question that inevitably comes up anytime someone finds out you have a gameroom... "Do you have Pac Man?"

Side Question: is having Pac/Ms.Pac on one of those multiboards enough to keep your guests happy, or do they have that look of disappointment that you don't have a dedicated cabinet.

(Sorry, slow day around here, and I'm bored out of my skull :D)

I do, but that's not the only one I get. The other ones that I've heard are

"Do you have a....

Buck Hunter?"

Golden Tee?"

Galaga?"

Rampage?"

Buck Hunter? Really?

I have a Pac with a multi-kit in it (96-in-1)...

...but I have it because I still love to play me some Ms. Pac (with authentic stick of course).

Wife loves the Ms Pac. :)

I sometimes have conversations like this:

Him: "Oh I remember this one old game! It was one where you flew around on birds and like knocked other guys off and stuff."

Me: "Oh that's Joust."

Him: "No, that's not it. It was the one where you had to pick up eggs from ledges and if you took too long they'd hatch into birds and you had to kill 'em again"

Me: "... That's Joust."

Him: "Noo..."

Me: "Did you have to fight pterodactyls?"

Him: "Yeah yeah!!!"

Me: "... ... Robotron???"

Him: "YEAH that's it!!!!"

I have a Ms. Pac upright. Ms. Pac on a multicade would not be acceptable to any of my friends. If it was still in a Ms. Pac cab it might be ok though.

I have a dedicated Ms. Pac upright. I picked it up because every game room needs a Pac.
My kids love it and my nine year-old consistently gets to the pear/banana levels.

I went to check out a PacMan at a garage sale 15+ years ago. I show up and they had both a Pac and MsPac. Neither worked, bought them both for $50. Both ended up having board problems (just fixed last year when I got back into my games), but one had the 4600 card half out of the socket.

I tried to get just one working years ago but not knowing anything, I didn't know I was fighting a monitor issue as well.

Both are working side-by-side now!

I had/have complaints about how Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man play in emulation b/c of the 8-ways sticks.

Now I have a "Ms. Pac 3" in a conversion cocktail w/ 4-way sticks (just finished weeks ago...thanks Ghostlord)

Side Question: is having Pac/Ms.Pac on one of those multiboards enough to keep your guests happy, or do they have that look of disappointment that you don't have a dedicated cabinet.

Having a bunch of friends over next month. Since Ms. Pac is new to the room, I'll see if it matters or not. It's not multi, but I'm confident it will get more play than the 8-way version for sure.

I have a Upright Pacman with 96-1 kit and just sold my MS pac cocktail, so I think every collection needs one of the other even if your into newer or older games

I have a Pac upright and a Ms Pac upright as well. It seems overkill in a way when I could get a multi-pac kit but there's always been something about having the original machine and original hardware (even as similar as these 2 are) that makes me want to have both.

near mint original Pac upright

and typical faded, routed Ms Pac upright, although unrestored and complete down to the manual folder stapled to the backdoor. Very solid shape, aside from a sloppy hole drilled in the front for a hasp.

I plan to do a total cabinet restoration on the Ms Pac. Pink really pops.
