How many have knowingly overpaid for a game?

Overpaid- yes I'm sure by KLOV standards. I take into consideration how much I want the machine, location, and condition. Sure you MIGHT find one 100 bucks cheaper, NEXT year, and 100 MILES FURTHER.....
I'd rather pay the extra dough...

Same as you everyone would think i overpaid on ever game i own for sure

700 for a partially working centipede and donkey kong junior
400 for a partially working joust and mars god of war pin
and my scratch build MW must have me in for 1000

But it has been fun, I will never make money by selling my games. But the reason i bought them was it would be fun to learn to fix them up and get them all standing in a line looking pretty...and I like to play them

Yes, overpaying is not really overpaying if the game is something you want and obviously you have no other options as good or as convenient. Besides, the prices on these games can vary by a factor of 2 or 3 depending on the condition and whether the buyer is just picking up a cheap "deal" or a game he is actually seeking out.

Yes I've overpaid... though it has been a while.... almost 5 hours ago. For 2 computer space machines. But they were serial #s 006 and 008, which were actually the 2nd and 4th ones sold...

I've overpaid for a number of (at least 10) old antique mechanical machines, usually because they were at and auction and I hadn't bought anything in a while and didn't want to go home empty handed (and unfortunately someone else at the auction had the same thoughts).

And then there is Namco Quick & Crash. I think I have something like $2000 into one, and now I see them trading at $500 or below sometimes.

Overall it averages out. I've gotten bargains as many times as I've overpaid

I personally try to avoid anything over $250....

So take it from me. If you want a game really bad, the key is patience and a little determination. I have 4 out of 5 minty games and I have spent no more than $1500 for all of them.

I thought the question was about overpaying willingly... not "show me your list of typical KLOV cheap bastard purchases"? :)

I've probably overpaid on most games...Especially once shipping is factored in. Just did it again 5 minutes ago...Atari Stunt Cycle on ebay $400 + shipping. Seller said it was a gift from Evel Knievel to some country singer named Faron Young. Never heard of him, then again, I'm not a country music fan, heheh.

Word to your mother.

I have overpaid on lots of games. Some from being naive, some not. Oh well. Not too worried about it.

Fortunately, if I "weed" out some of my collection soon, the games being weeded out are ones I didn't overpay for.
