Anyone else have one of these ? Anyone know how many where made and about where the SN cut off is ? Mine is SN 2365. I am just wondering how many were made. It would be cool to see the CP overlay reproduced. I wonder how many people would rather have the early artwork version control panel overlay.

I assume the early artwork came without the purple in the side art? Mine's a pretty high serial number, so I have the purple, but the guy I bought it from had an early serial number cab right behind it for comparison. No purple on his.

I think the easiest way to tell the early artwork Tempest's is the black strip goes all the way to the front of the cab.

There are SOOOO many slight variations on Tempest sideart it's ridiculous. If any of the old-timers from rgvac remember when I had the photo gallery on Superzapper.com, I think I stopped counting at 9?

Ya, what happened to that site ? Do you still have all the info ? I was just talking to someone about your old site.

It was this one :

Good question... I'm not sure if I still have the old hd that archives all that or not. Data Storage wasn't nearly as cheap 10-12 yrs ago as it is now. lol I dug up a lot of my old Cinematronics/Vbeam/Warrior stuff for Omar for Cinematronics.org last year, might be on that same hd...

Dont worry. I got some Tempest stuff this weekend that will be on its way to you soon.

Noo!!!! I'm already in hock as it is :( :( :( Road.Runner got the vitals on my BZ boards back up, so I owe him some cash, and I've got a wire harness for my Tempest waiting for this f***ing snow to stop here so I can get payment out.. then MM's holding a marquee for me and probably tapping his foot by now :( Calgon (and KLOV-AA) take me AWAY!

One of these days I'll get my second Tempest up and running and set them side by side so I can take pics to show the art differences between my American one (project) and Irish one (working in the gameroom). Slightly different in side art, marquee, and CPO....

Back to the original question, I think the odds of any new Tempest art being made are 0. This is due to the fact that no one is willing to come out with a decent marquee overlay, as the one available now is god awful.

No, I'm not bitter:rolleyes:

I think Tempest is in the top 3 most collected games on VAPS, would be cool to see the early artwork made for it.
