I usually go for theseUnless you're trying to look at more than 4 channels with a scope that has a built-in logic analyzer, you don't need clips.
Just make yourself four test leads, that have a grabber hook on one end, and a micrograbber on the other. Clip the scope probe to the grabber hook, and use the micrograbber to grab specific chip legs. They are small, and are designed to grab individual chip legs. And they will make better contact with rusty chip legs, like a lot of the ones found on these boards.
I posted all of the materials (hooks, micrograbbers, and wire) with links in another post here the other day. Here ya go:
Battlezone Playing Blind (Vector Generator?)
The scope settings for probing pin 7 at A10/D10 should be the same as probing the XOUT/YOUT test points on your Asteroids. I just leave my scope set to the same XY settings for everything. You should normally just see a slightly smaller version of the image at A10/D10 than at XOUT/YOUT, when...forums.arcade-museum.com
Note that these leads have other uses as well (like when you need to ground a specific chip leg to ground or another test point, when doing signature analysis.) So they are worth making. And if you make them yourself, you can make them whatever length and thickness you like. I use 28AWG silicone wire, so they are thin and flexible.

If you go that way, don't get generic cheap ones, stick with HP.
