I started in 1989 with a game that my friend traded me. It was and is Space Encounters. He had gotten it to work and I did the detail work, like fixing the strobe that blinds you when you shoot something.

About 20 years. Started collecting in 1989. This is my absolute favorite hobby. I have purchased sold/traded more than 70 Arcade Games/Pinball Machines in my two decades of collecting. I wish I had the space to have kept them all! I still have my first purchase a mint original Pac-Man.

Well I bought a Tetris cocktail conversion on a whim last year on October 18th, and now, in less than a year I have three uprights and a candy cab to go along with that original purchase...

No... end... in... sight...

I've been collection for about 8 yrs now. i have a nice collection but theirs so many others id like to buy.
I don't really think my wife would see it that way.
if i had none she would be happy.

I cant remember when i got my first game (pac-man That played ms. pacman) It was a few years ago. in the middle of july. oh well Thats all it took the get hooked on the games! :D

Arcade Fever "ill take those two and ill call in morning for the other two"

Started collecting on 3/16/09 first game purchased was a T2 as you can see it hasn't even been a full year yet and i have or will have close to 17 machines and one shuffle alley by 3/16/2010. It started as a hobby and quickly turned into a passion for me and i dont plan on slowin down anytime soon if anything its about that time to start collecting pins!

Bought my first two games - Venture and Warlords cocktail - in 1985, but I did not consider myself a collector. Just wanted some cool video room decorations.

Fast forward to 1996 - found the internet and RGVAC. Discovered a whole big collecting community. Found my grail @ YOGI's - Lunar Lander - been collecting since.

Since around '95.
I didn't consider myself a "collector" either.
Never even knew that people DID collect
games. (No internet then!).
Just decided I wanted a couple games to goof around with.

"couple"....HAH!, that turned into dozens and dozens... :)

Got my first game in the fall of 98....a Time Pilot 84 conversion in a Frogger cab that I won for $150 on ebay. After that I got Double Dragon,Capt. America, and NHL Open Ice. Got out of the hobby around 2002,but got the gaming urge again and jumped back into it last summer with the purchase of a Dig Dug. So I've been doing this for 5 years total.

The first time I started collecting was in 2000. I had 10 games and I sold everything off......

This time I rescued a VS Excitebike conversion in a DK cabinet about a year and a half ago....Now I'm back up to 9 cabinets and I found a box of Jamma PCBs from the first time around.

1st game

My first Game was Ghost's and Goblins and I picked it up in 2004. Most recent was a Cabaret Asteroids which I bought yesterday on 12/28/10!

I bought my first one a little over a year ago. (9-12-2010) It was Taf. From there the obsession has never stopped. I have 5 pins, Crazy taxi, 60-1 galaga, 13 ft skee ball, valley dart, 2 Igt slots, 4 pachislo slots, A 1960 pachinko, Pool table, fooseball table. And a few at my buddy's house we are selling.

Been playing since my dad brought home the original PS with Crash Bandicoot and Tomb Raider in '96! Have two arcade games (Nintendo vs. Dualsystem vs. Tennis & a Sports 3-in-1 game). Hard to imagine how much those games in their original sealed condtion are now! If Idda known and was born 10 years earlier...woulda bought one to play and another to invest..even if it meant only two games every month or so!

Blue Skies of Thundebolts,
Lev

First game was Galaga, bought only 3 months ago. Fully restored it to like new. I am now on machine 4 & 5. I got addicted after the first cap kit install.
Now I get pissed if an hour goes by and CL has no new machines posted...
I fell fast and hard.

So now I've got the Galaga and Dig Dug fully restored, and am currently working on my Sega Turbo and a generic Jamma upright with A complete Contra overhaul on its way.

I'm loving it!
