Looking to fix up a DKJr cabinet with laminate. Has quite a few bondo areas that I need to cover.

I understand the cabinet sides with small router from videos I've seen, but how do you handle the front that has inside edges? Do you take apart the cabinet and route the edge of the front, or cut the laminate to fit? Do you just use a straight edge and razor blade, then hope it goes on straight with the contact cement for the front?

Use a straight edge level or ruler. Use a standard utility knife.

The laminate will have 2 straight edges. Use that as the top and one side. Cut the other side the proper width. Cut the bottom edge the proper length.

Clamp down the straight edge to the laminate. Run the utility knife down the laminate a few times. It cuts easily.

Done. Take a few minutes.

Yes I use that to rough cut, but then I router to fix. I use a vinyl tile blade instead. The front panels on a Nintendo cabinet remove easily.

Never had a problem that needed to be "fixed". Cut from the back side and it makes a perfectly straight clean cut.
