I am up to 7 games in the basement and want a simple way for the kids to turn them on besides reach around back. I'm thinking of a x10 remote controller unit with 7 appliance modules plugged into a couple of power strips. Is there anything better than this? I want to be able to power each game individually.

shit i could use a couple of those for my band!!!

I use an 8-plug one for my workbench (copied Shilmover since I first saw it at his place.) They are surprisingly cheap. I'm planning on getting two of the 4-port ones since I have an arcade room with at most 4 machines on opposing walls.

I use computer switch boxes meant to sit under a computer monitor. They work great, usually come with some type of line filtering and surge suppression (the good ones), and allow each game to be turned on/off individually.

Thats what I do too. Different toggle on/off outlets plus a main.
