I've been working on sound board power supply problems (see my other posts), and I noticed something: the metal backplate of the A2 PS board gets really hot. (Damn hot; gonna be doin' some crotch-pot cookin'
Too hot to touch comfortably, it reads 136F (58C) on my kitchen thermometer. I know that this plate is a heat sink for the Q3 transistor, but it seems a bit much. Is this proper?
