I just had a guy travel 1568 miles ONEWAY to buy a Sarge from me tonight. WOW!!! So how far have you traveled for a grail? I still don't know what my grail is yet, but the most miles I have drove, was only 308 miles "round trip". Seems so short compared to the guy I met tonight.

I personally have travelled almost 1000 miles one way to pick up a dedicated Major Havoc.. and I'd do it again in a flash, it was a fun road trip with a friend and I couldn't think of a better reason to hit the road!! :) I think Enjoyvelvet was surprised when I finally showed up at his door, I think he just couldn't believe I was doing it!!

Wow, that's a lot of miles. Florida and Georgia are some long states to travel through. My mother lives down by you in Bradenton. Takes forever to drive down from Indiana.

Considering how I looked up my "grail" aka the only game I remember playing the most as a kid... I'm going to say zero miles because I (know myself and) can't save up money like that. Maybe when I win the lottery.

I made 3 trips to DJDNS's house last year at about 650 miles one way for various games....so about 4000 miles total...you know he is the almighty deliverer of grails...

I drove about 6+ hours one way to pick up my dedicated JrPac. Before gas prices got out of hand I wouldnt hesitate to hop in the truck and make a road trip. Now I have to pick up 3-4 machines at a time to make it cost effective. My truck gets 12-14mpg :(

I'm glad I don't live within a reasonable driving distance from DJDNS, I think I would be broke and out of space.. or have a much bigger storage unit! LOL.

The thing about driving distances to get games is this... If you want it bad enough, and have been looking for a long time, it's a sure way of landing that grail and making sure that you can inspect it in person and give it the white glove transport that you want it to get.

On top of that, for most of my grail games, if I hadn't of jumped on them, to this day I still wouldn't have had the opportunity to buy another, at any price, and I've made a lot of trips to pick up games that I wanted badly.. while most of them are 5-6 hours tops (my Miami trips, I've done 3 of them), I don't mind doing them when I get a nice game!

I've done the same-day 800-mile-round-trip many times (lots of good games in SoCal). I love arcade road trips... unless it's solo. I've only done that once, and it was awful.

i'd say i would do a max of 750-1000 miles each way. but, that really depends on what the game is, and what the price is.

580 miles, 10 hours each way.

Just did it recently. :D

I'll be driving to OKC to pick up a cab between April and May, though. :(

23-1/2 hours round trip for our Crazy Climber. Once I was offered the game at a great price, the challenge of actually following through was like a game itself. :D

12 hour round trip is my self inflicted max... but I end up doing it a lot ;)
