I have a member here that is interested in a game that I have for sale. He asked if I was willing to ship but I have no idea how the process works. Can anyone tell me how the process works? I may considerate the next time around if their is'nt much to it. I am very hesitant for fear of damage being done to the game before arrival.

8 or 9yrs ago, when I could ship thru Forward Air, from AL to CA for $120 (not including the crate, padding, shrinkwrap) -

I would charge a flat fee of $40 for padding, crate, shrinkwrap, which didn't quite cover it, but made the Ebay auction more appealing, so I made up the difference. Then..actual shipping cost, around $115 usually.

I stood the game on a pallet, wrapped in shrinkwrap, then used 3/4" styrofoam insulation sheet, cut to fit sides and top of game, wrapped again with shrinkwrap, then built a crate around it out of 1/2" plywood and 2x2.

I shipped a Galaga machine once . The Shipping company came out, wrapped it in plastic, gentally took it out of my house, carefully put it on the lift gate of the truck, took the lift gate all the way up " very tall truck " and then DROPED IT off the truck onto its back. Every bit of a 6ft fall . . I had sold it on the e-bay, the buyer had paied and set up all shipping. . . . so i sent him a email letting them know what had happened, and to check the machine over top to bottom before the shipping co. leaves there house. . . . Note to self : Pick up your games your self, no one will treat them the way you would. . . .
