We are already a quarter of the way into 2011, so what are your big plans for this year and how do you want your gameroom to look going into 2012?

For me, I plan on selling 4 or 5 of my games, and adding only two by years end. 1 Pinball and 1 video. (Family Guy and Defender OR Galaga). I also want to put in new carpet into the Drewcade.

So whats on your agenda?

Game-wise, I think I'm actually done for 2011. Mad Planets and Sea Wolf were the only ones I was hunting, and I've got those now. I'm out of space and I'm really happy with my current lineup of games.

I added black light carpet a couple of weeks ago, so that's off the list.

All that's left is the new entrance to my game room. I'm about 1/4 of the way done with that. When it's done, I'll post a video. It's going to be insanely awesome.

I am changing the lineup quite a bit. I am planning a 4 game trade this week, so I am looking forward to playing some new games. Towards the end of the year, I may try to slim down the collection a bit. If not, I need to find a way to keep all of my other crap more organized. I can barely walk around in the garage right now.

I am having fun trading games. I thought about it a lot, and out of the 12 games out there right now, only 5 are definite keepers. The others I just don't play regularly anymore. I am always surprised at the games I don't play. Paperboy will be leaving this week because I just never seem to want to play it. Three of the 4 games I am bringing in were never planned to be part of the collection, but I am starting to like the idea of having them out there.

I think I have said it before, but I am really enjoying this hobby now. There is no self imposed pressure to find every deal out there. I sometimes go a couple months without even going out to the garage. It is nice having them there when I want them though. The obsession is gone, and it has been replaced by a hobby that is fun again. I love it.

I am also going to get rid of a ton of parts this year. I want some space back. If it isn't needed in the near future, it has to go. Too much crap. I would like to actually be able to host a game party sometime this year.

Finished painting tonight. I should be moving my 720 into it sometime this week to join the Bride of Pinbot. A vertically oriented MAME in a Pac cab to follow.

After seeing Clytor's post, I need to add that I would like to add a Bride of Pinbot. :) Or a Pinbot; one of my favorites.

I plan on moving my Q*Bert into my basement in the next month or two. Tough part is, I need to decide which cab to take out in order to make room for it. Same case for my Defender, which needs a PS rebuild. That won't get tended to until later in the spring, though.

That's what's happening for the near future, not sure about the second half of the year.

Devoid of games, carpet ripped up, a pair of walls knocked out and 19' x 48' of workspace for cabinet making.

Arcade carpet put down.
Wall moved to accomidate most of my machines.
Dedicated electrical circuit for my machines.

WIP right now, I'm about half way done.

I will hopefully see the games move out of the house and/or storage and see them all in a new backyard cottage. Also, one I get that extra space I'd like to get one more pin.

My goal is to slim down my games to 3, Repair my x-men 6player, fix Gorgar again, and replace my mame cab with a showcase thats currently stuck in the garage due to snow. Purchase some new posters Aliens, Terminator 2 , and Tron. Finally I need to add a new animal to my 55 gallon Ive been cycling since november perhaps a Turtle or some type of Newt.

Man I can wait for summer

I need to replace the rope lights in the room with some LED blue ones.

Finish the game room sign. It's only mocked up above the door at the moment.

I'm considering selling or prefer trading one of my EM games - the EM Lunar Lander. I'd like to replace it with either a Stunt Pilot or Dune Buggy EM or possibly a Black Hole pin. I'd like to add one more pinball to the lineup and I'd like it to be either the Black Hole or a SWE1.

I also might put a few games up for sale later for some room and pinball money. Still making up my mind on that one. (Sorry Tron-guy but KK isn't one of 'em).

Other than that, I don't think it'll change much.

Tom

Get my new carpet installed. Finish the electrical, and I'd like to add 2 games this year. Paperboy and Roadblasters. Oh and maybe a crane machine.
