How do you Remove the Metal Security Tab from CPS-2 Boards?

Need to take apart a few CPS-2 boards but not sure how to go about removing that metal tab in the upper right corner. Any suggestions? I dont want to pick away at it and break something just to find out there was some really easy way to do it. Thanks.

It's been a while since I dealt with a CPS-2 board, but I thought all the screws to remove the case were on the underside of the top board? The only metal I remember dealing with was the pieces that held the A and B board together on the sides.

I have a SFA3 and a SF vs. Xmen and neither have that. They are blues, though. Is that a gray board thing only?

Of the 5 CPS-2 boards I have, 4 of the 5 have this metal tab on the B board. This tab is also on some of the A boards as well. It goes all the way through to the other side, and I'm not sure how to remove it. I dont want to remove the four screws and start trying to pull it apart and end up cracking something, and then find out there was an easier way to do it. I mean for all I know, pulling them apart is how you do it, just want to play it safe.

All all 4 that have it the same color? I wonder if it's a region thing. I only had a blue Shadow over Mystara board set, and I don't remember that metal going through. I just tried to find some old pictures, but I've apparently deleted them all.

Just grab the bottom of it with pliers(from underside of board) and pull on it while wiggling it slightly. It will pop right off eventually. I usually hold onto them but don't reinstall them since they are such a PITA.

Yea, I have two gray boards and 3 blue ones and they are on both the gray and blue. I'll have to try the plier thing.
