I am removing the time soldiers joysticks from the cabinet they are currently in.sd

And just like a normal joystick the "ball top" or rotary top is too fat to fit through the hole in the control panel.

with a normal joystick I would remove the c clip and have the joystick out in seconds.

what's the trick with these?

thanks

basically you need to use a coat hanger to pop the cap off of the yellow knob from underneath. do not try to pry the cap out. once the cap is removed you will be able to see a nut that holds the yellow knob in place. once you remove the yellow knob and the bolts holding the stick in place, the sticks will slide right out the bottom of the cp.

I'll see if I can Find the pic.

and just for giggles here is a pic I found of an almost completely disassembled ls-30

Hehehe, my buddy Scott is the one who took that pic. He originally posted it over at BYOAC, but I taxed it and posted it here a few times. Comes in handy. :)

.

ok, as far as I can tell, it is virtually impossible to remove these joysticks.

anyone have some insight?

ok I stand corrected. it is very easy to remove, lmao.

I was expecting a pop or something letting me know it had released, and I look down and the fucking top is popped up.
