There is a game that I owned, and sold. I am now having seller's remorse. The buyer will trade it back, but they really would like to have a game from my current lineup.

I like the game in my current lineup, but I miss the old game too. This swap is really my only option right now. I don't have the cash just yet to buy the game, so it's the trade or nada.

The game the person wants is one that I like to play, but I don't play it every time I'm out in the garcade. I like its cab design, and the gameplay is fun.

The old game (that I would like to trade for) has a great gameplay rate, and I'd probably play it every time I went out to the garcade if I got it back. But I know I'm going to miss the game currently in my lineup if I trade it.

Could someone give me their perspective on what they might do if they were in my shoes? The only reason the game went in the first place that I let go of was because I had just lost my job and was needing the money. :(

yeah we need to know what the titles are.

I would go with the one that either seems easier to fix, or easier to find parts for. Assuming you like both games relatively equally.

easy, keep what you got and offer cash.it might end up the same, you swap then want the same cab again, when its gone if its that game you realy liked you will regret it and probably want the same cab and not a replacement.these things become personal items especialy after you have owned them a long time, its like parting with a bit of yourself.

this is probably why you want that cab back and are stuck on what to do.

dont, offer the guy cash if you have it.
:)

Which one's harder to replace, and does anyone else in your family care one way or another?

I'd keep the harder to find/rarer one if I liked playing both and was the only one who cared about the game. If my wife/kids favored one, I'd keep that one.

Sound advice there. I sold a couple games in the past 3 weeks to help pay for a pin and didn't consult my wife or daughter about it. Needless to say I'll have to replace one of them soon.

I have very limited room so I have to make decisions like this too often. I would keep t he harder to find game and save up for the other. - Barry

Think back to when you sold the old game. Why did you want to sell it? If it was just for the money, maybe trade to get it back, but if you sold it because it was expendable at the time, it probably will be again.

All good points, thank you!

The current trade banter gets played 'slightly' more than the original game did. Not by much though.

I would love to have the opportunity to buy the game back so I could keep both but, I'm not sure of when I'd have the money to be able to do so. That is why the trade option is really my only choice right now.

I swear this hobby is worse than cr@k.

It was most significantly for the money that I needed at the time. I lost my job, got a new one with a paycut, and the pillars were falling fast. I lost 2 Williams games in that battle. :(

It sounds like you would play the game that you sold more than the one you have so, I think you should do the trade.
