How do you get the pins out of a jamma harness connector?

I need to replace a few wires on a jamma connector. How in the heck do you get those pins out?

Either with a genuine Jamma pin release tool or a bobby pin.

There is a release tab on the connector pin that allows it to slide out.

Well it just so happens I have b pin... Whats the best way to get it out with that b pin. Do you use one leg or two?

That you for the link Ken... I still can't get the damn thing out but i am headed in the right direction now.

I slide between the back of the pin & the housing like bob says but they still wont release.

Do you have a link to
a Jamma pin release tool?

Bob Roberts carries them. You should try to push the wire in while pushing the bobby pin in. Sometimes the release tab gets bound up against the housing and will not push down. The reverse pressure from pushing in the wire reduces the chance of it binding.

I normally use a small jewelers screwdriver. The flat blade pushes the barb down and allows it to slide out pretty easily.

Make sure you are pushing the screwdriver into the gap at the back of the connector, between the metal connector and the plastic housing (not between the connectors where the card would insert).

If you look on the diagram on the BR link, that little flap of metal is what you need to bend down so it will slide out of the housing.
