This is a pretty stupid question, but those are the only ones I'm good at.

When arcades replace CRT monitors in machines with LCD ones, where do they get the LCD ones from? How much do they normally run?

I know I have access to normal PC LCD monitors, I'm assuming that if you use a PC LCD then you have to use a conversion card or something since the wiring is different. How would you wire a PC LCD to a Jamma board, for instance?

I know with a Mame box you could use an ArcadeVGA card but that's not what I'm referring to here.

When I have seen LCDs in video games the games have always been newer games with a VGA output. The operators just buy a TV with a VGA input and figure out how to mount the TV.

If you'd like to replace a CGA or EGA you will need a converter similar to the ArcadeVGA you mentioned.
