how do you get a 72.00 red tent into a 2001 monte carlo?......determination!
So i respond to a craigs list ad for a vintage pachinko machine, make arrangements to meet the seller at his house and get there about 10am today. i meet him at his front door, he invites me in we go into the basement. i see the pachinko in the corner, but at the bottom of the stairs i spot a 'red tent'! i say out loud "you have a red tent?" he said "what?" i said "that's a red tent, are you selling it?" long story shorter he said it didn't work. i plugged it in and realized it not only worked but was converted to a playchoice 10!!!!! it was missing a monitor but it was loaded with titles! rygar/gauntlet/excitebike/super mario bros/double dragon/ wrestling/goonies/contra/baseball/1942! i then went on to say that i don't think it'll fit in my car.........unless we take it apart!!! so here i am preparing to completely break down a red tent and realize i offered him 100.00 and don't have enough money for the pachinko ($65) and the red tent(another $100). i said hold on, i counted the money i had and it came to 137.00. i then say "i only have 137.00, is that enough for both machines, will that be enough?" he thought about it, and after a minute or so he said "i'll take it" so after we completely dismantled an entire red tent, crammed it into a 2001 monte carlo, with a pachinko machine, oh and i went to b.j.'s warehouse for supplies for work(cups, cases of soda, cookies, chips) i wound up paying 72.00 for a converted red tent!!!! what a story!!! thought i'd share it with you guys!!! the first pic is the base shoved in the trunk, the second is the top and boards crammed into the passenger seat, and the third is through the back window where the monitor, cups and pachinko are mashed in! enjoy!!!
