Looking for ideas....

I am trying to figure out a cool way to work the Megatouch into my little arcade but can't quite figure it out. I bought a bar table thinking that would be the best but the thing is too damn heavy and I am afraid my kids are gonna knock it over.

Has anyone found the perfect bar table or otherwise to display their Megatouch? Do I need to make a little bar? How do I go about that?

Currently mine is on a little end table we had laying around and it's a little ghetto plus you need to sit on the floor to play.

Mine will be in a corner on one of those wall mounted TV trays. I found that a tray designed for 19" TV's is just about right in size and is rated to bear the weight of the machine.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Here are some more pictures of the Megatouch. How can I make this better???

They just had an auction here with a bunch of arcades, they had a couple of stands for table top units there. They looked like someone cut a normal arcade cab in half and added a top.
Sounds ghetto but they looked like the would fit in an arcade very nice.

mega touch

I do not have it in my game room, mine is in the bar area. My brother and i had the same problem. NO ROOM.. So what we did was took the case off and built one in to the wall. It works out great.. The back part is in a half bath. But if you had like a crawel space or other room you could do it that way.

mega touh

Oh you bet that would go over real good. hahahah ..No it is the bath for the bar only ..She has here own bath, and I do not even get to go in that room.

I have mine on a square bar table that I bought from IKEA. I had to buy something that would support the weight since I have the big heavy classic blue style Megatouch.

That table could work. Time to go to IKEA. Mine is heavy as hell too. I think it is 90lbs.

Could be cool to cover the sides of the table with paneling or something to make it look more like a bar. Wheels are turning...

John $100 at Walmart... has wheels, storage, and even a table for beers, snacks, vomit bowl on the side!

You've seen this at my house right? Heavy duty, holds my Neo at about 70+ pounds...lol

It's not bar height though. I need to have stools around it. Thanks, though. :)

How tall are your stools? I use stools to play this, it would be way over your head in a chair, the "table" area is 3 feet high... dont know how high your bar is?

Is this the table you have?

Is it pretty sturdy? Does it wobble at all? Seems perfect for my needs. Sweet.

Yep, that's the exact table. $99 at IKEA. It's very sturdy. It doesn't wobble during regular use. I just pulled it away from the wall and tried to wobble it and it takes some good force you make it move since the weight of the Megatouch is pushing down on it. I keep mine pushed up against the wall you see and it doesn't budge. Plus it gives that nice bartop look since its made out of wood.

Still can't figure out what the little metal clips on the sides are for, maybe to hold a tablecloth on.

Hmm... I'll have to look into those kitchen islands. My megatouch currently sits on the floor under a pinball machine due to no space. Those islands are a great idea due to the extra storage space you get with it.

search google for slot machine stands or pachislo stands and you will find lots of ideas. Many people have designed and released plans.

Tronic, I made a special trip to IKEA yesterday on the way back from NYC. I picked up the table you recommended, it worked out GREAT! Perfect!! Thank you so much!

BTW - those hooks I believe are for hanging towels. :)

I took a completely different approach to my Megatouch. My arcade is in my basement, but I put the Megatough upstairs in the family room right by the kitchen. I bought it for my wife, who was addicted to them when we first met and plays is on a regular basis. I put it by the kitchen in hopes of keeping her near the kitchen, plus when the little bastards (nieces and nephews) come over they are distracted by that and less likely to play my games in the basement. So I just grabbed an old desk that I found in the basememnt of my bar/apartments and it has worked out extremely well.
