How do you decide prices when buying games in bulk?

Was just curious how people who have done bulk deals have done it. Theres a guy local to me that sounds like he wants to get rid of the games in his gameroom. None of them are great games or classics. And it sounds like alot of the cabs may be solid, but might look rough (but all games work). He said they were all fair to good condition. Its 8 games he said.

This is what he said :

"I currently have about 8 machines ( Time Killers, 4 player X-Men with a 27 inch screen, Ajax, Road Rally a stand up driving game, and a few others if you would like to come by "

I don't need any of these really, but wouldnt mind doing a bulk deal. I know the Time Killers and road rally are in painted black basic cabs (paint is so so).

More then likely he would turn down my offer for not being high enough, but I know he has been trying to sell them for a while.

Edit: i think talking to him before one of the other games is a neo geo.

It depends on the games and the motivations of the seller. You are almost always going to get a good price per game by buying in bulk. Then you just fix/sell the games you don't want.

Even if you plan on taking them all, don't tip your hand early. Express interest in a few, then later say "well, maybe I can take those too". Foot in door approach - might save you a few hundo. It worked for me.

But like I said, it depends on the seller motivations. I bought from a person totally uninterested in the games who wanted out from under them.
