so, i ordered the strip that goes on the control panel against the bezel. i don't have it yet, but i was wondering, how do you apply it? my present control panel never had one on it, and there's obviously no molding slot in the panel... those that have put them on, how did you do it?

I've done many of these. My preference is to use a Crown Stapler (with an Air Compressor). That plastic is pretty thick, I'm not sure what else would work as well.

I picked up my crown stapler for about $25 and it has been one of my most used tools for arcade projects. You can get more expensive ones, but for occasional use like arcade projects the cheap ones work just fine.

I use a 22 gauge stapler, but any crown stapler would work. A beer seal/piece of foam weather stripping goes over it, hiding the staples.

How would you apply this same molding to the the new metal multi-panels?

I used automotive emblem double sided tape. Made by 3M. It's much thinner than foam tape and dark gray in color.
