Ok...I was gutting my machine tonight and I got to the speaker panel..I was able to get the marquee off just fine by removing the three screws on top with allen wrench....but when I got to speaker panel every one of the bolts were stripped out. I ended up destroying one bolt inly to realize that it wasn't a bolt...but a metal plug...never seen this before. Is this standard for the sw speaker panel? How do u remove the bolts to get panel off? I want to get panel off to get powder coated...but already destroyed one of the six "bolts" help please! !

i could knock them out on the front three...but the back three i would not be able to reach. i might just have to say screw the powder coating on that and just spray paint it still attached. as of now i will just have to find a screw or bolt to re attach the one that i destroyed. I wonder why they used rivets to attach that...thats kinda dumb.....

Just sucks I can't get them off

..and they are tamper resistant and have a sleek look.

I need to see if I can locate an exact replacement in the black phosphate for these.

Any hardware store. Just tell them you want a couple button head allen bolts. Size doesn't really matter, just so long as they fit in the hole.

You probably won't find black ones, you'll likely need to paint them black.

10-24 size is what you would probably want, if to match the typical marquee/bracket screws. You'd also need to use 10-24 t-nuts from behind

Panel off...made sure I had tight hex bolts first....then drilled out the rivets...thanks!
