How do I...

Ok. I haven't seen it in this system yet. This software, written by the same time that developed vBulletin 3.x (but not later versions) has a bunch of improvements over the old system. But it doesn't have options that were a little obscure, as well as some things I think are pretty basic. The old system, for example, for admins would show a list of different users groups and a count of how many people were in each one. The new system doesn't show counts. It's a missing but pretty useful feature why diagnosing complex forum issues.

How do you add someone to a conversation? Is that a form supporter feature? If so, what level do you need?

Thanks
Open a conversation. On the right side there will be a window the lists the "Conversation participants". Below the list of participants, there will be a link to "Invite more".

Hmm, I do not see the "invite..." button on any of mine...

In the past you were allowed 5 max participants in a conversation.
And you are time limited in sequential conversations being posted one after another.

This is off a desktop view from a 2yr old convo.

On mobile view, scroll down to the bottom and the same thing appears...

At least this is what I see today, a moment ago...

I checked this a few days ago when someone else asked about this and didn't see a way to do it. Still the same for me on both mobile and desktop.

Perhaps this is donor related.

Indeed, it might be donor related. Someplace there's a list of perks for each donor level. But even if you qualify for a perk it won't be automatically activated like it should. In those cases an admin has to (semi-)manually [...mumble, mumble, incantation....] poke Sark to update the MCP to allow user access.

@cwilkson... do you see the same as I do? We look to be around the same donation level.(sort of)

Also @DonPanetta... might it be possible to "pull" another participant in by calling them with @u s e r n a m e ?

When you first post a PM, there is a checkbox to allow anybody to invite... it's unchecked by default... but a reference call by the PM initiator might work?

I tried the username ref previously and it didn't work

What do you mean by this?

EDIT:
BTW, I just checked....I can add participants to conversations from August 2015, but not from June 2015. So....roughly (but not exactly) a 10 year limit?

Once upon a time, I sold stuff here.
I had many different individuals to send conversations to (and use BCC blind copy).
I made several 5 person (max) PMs, and sent them off.
Sent one, but tried to send the next one and was time restricted (countdown) to allow to release the next PM.
Not much different than adding multiple replies to any forum thread. -> You get an "oops" warning. :)
Kinda sucks if you're in the mood to rapid SPAM. LOL
