How do I...

Yes, that's the thread.

I was not able to delete my old messages on the old forum software; I tried. I haven't looked to see if I can delete them now but they're probably 4-5 years old now.

I liked the old system better too. I'm pretty much ignoring the new one.

Turns out there is a notification option that can shut those notifications off. :)

Is there a way to set the search to default at whatever level you're currently at? If I'm in the parts for sale section, I'd love to be able to enter a search term and have it search just that section/forum rather than returning results from the entire site. Or if I'm in a monitor repair thread I'd like to search just that thread for a term. I realize I have the option to select "this forum," "this thread" for each search, but the default appears to be "everywhere" no matter what part of the site you're currently viewing, and selecting a different parameter for every search is the hassle I'd like to avoid.

Not as far as i know

How do I - "do BCC (blind copy) in Conversations"? (was able to do this in the old forum PM)

Not currently available as a feature i believe. From what i remember, the original developers were dead set against this because of privacy issues. You can still invite people into a conversation and export your convo but blind carbon copies feature is not available here.

Yeah, I'd like to see this too. On the old site, you could save your search defaults, which was nice. I just had the Advanced Search bookmarked, and it always defaulted to my preferences.

I usually search thread titles first, and I get sick of needing to check the box every time now. It seems like operations for a lot of things now take twice as many clicks as they used to, and I'd like to see that optimized more.

anyone try ghost bumping a thread, yet? that used to be silly fun BITD on the old old forum DEEP SIGH

INFRACTIONS INCOMING :D

Necros are fun. Great band, BTW:

What the hell... How do you embed a YT vid now? The old way didn't work right.

Has anything happened with the email notifications over the past day? I've stopped receiving them.
I did add some more forums under my watched list, are we only allowed to watch so many and still receive email notifications?

My bad! Thank you.
Did just get a conversation response to my issue:
"Yes... Mail server was upgraded from Centos 6 to Centos 7 and there was something that was incompatible in the configuration. Fixed a few minutes for 90% of the people. Hopefully in the next hour or so we will be able to address an issue affecting the other 10%"
Done 🙂

Apologies if this is covered somewhere else, but is there a way to receive an email notification when a key word is used in a title, either in a specific forum or site-wide? To be more specific, I have a Ms. Pac-Man cocktail cabinet for which I'm always looking to upgrade parts, and wondered if there is a way to get a notification each time someone posts parts for sale with "Pac" or something like that in the title. I've looked through settings and don't see anything like that, but hoping I'm just not looking in the right place. Thanks!

Not that i know of. sorry.

you could optionally run a search and bookmark the url. visit it from time to time.

I don't believe there is a way to do that now. However, it is an area of high personal interest and something I plan to work hopefully mid-year. In additional to forum posts, I'm thinking of a similar feature for VAPS. That may come first. I'm thinking of something like a daily or weekly digest customized as desired by each member...

I recently turned on Signatures and I can finally see the VAPS game lists. I had no idea they were in the signatures.

The issue I've found is that my Game list doesn't show up unless I have something in my signature.

Is there a way to make it show up without having a dopey signature? (besides putting a white dot .)

Also, is there a way to format a post so there is a space between the last line of my post and the bar of the signature? I don't like how clustered it is and blank returns at the end of a post are clipped and adding a blank line to the front of the signature just moves the bar up.
