Can someone give me direction on how I turn a DK Jr. PCB into a DK/DK jr. board double board?
I've got a fully functional DK jr. board and want to change it over.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I believe it involves sending your board and $160? to MikesArcade.

Yup. That's what you've gotta do.

Wow.
Thats the only alternative out there?

You could use the 60-in-1 board and program the other games out and just keep the three DKs. You'll have to JAMMAtize the cab though.

Does MikesArcade have the rights to this conversion? Or just the knowledge?

Just the knowledge. Probably because as noted, the sounds for DK suffer bigtime, making it a practical failure, so noone has bothered to reverse-engineer the changes.

As for rights, interestingly enough, Nintendo doesn't own the rights to the original Donkey Kong (game) anyway, so it's no wonder they haven't gone after mods like this and D2K. Plus it's super small potatoes. They own the character, but the game code is still owned by the original developer company, Ikegami Tsushinki.

The much better option is to buy a DK board and use an edge connector harness for easy swapping between DK and DK Jr. That way you get all the original sounds. You can also put a D2K on your DK board and have 3 games in one cab. Or go balls to the wall and put a DK3 board in too and then have the mother of all DK cabs.

Ok.
Thanks for all of the suggestions.
I'll ponder it a little but I think I'm going to go the route of the two boards separate and probably harness them in the same game.
Thanks a lot everyone.
