How do I repair this ICB part? Is it available somewhere?

So I finally opened up my Ice Cold Beer and found this inside. Everything else appears to be in good shape. Do I need to replace the entire bar? The plastic piece is broken in half as you can see. And it doesn't look like it's made to be replaced. Can anyone out there help?

Thanks!

I'm bummed!

Some JB Weld on the backside should work...

You think that would hold long-term? Maybe I'll give that a shot. I used super-glue as a temporary fix but that's almost like holding it together by wrapping it in a piece of toilet paper. :)

Manufacture a new one out of a block of plastic or nylon. It will take time, but just think how much fun it will be.

Ok I'll decide what to do about this soon...but in the meantime I have one more question. The game is fully working now with one little glitch. When the bar drops to the bottom and the ball rolls out, it gets stuck on the lip of the hole and then goes back in when the bar starts moving up. I've tried leaning the game forward more but that doesn't help. It looks to me like the bar needs to be adjusted to move down about a quarter of an inch lower when the ball gets released. Is there an adjustment for this?

bend the leaf switch so that the bar doesnt activate it until it moves a little further down

also make sure everything is nice and lubed and the ball has been cleaned

This. Make sure the bar is clean and adjust one of the switches so the bar sits at a little bit of an angle. Mine hangs a little to the left... and on a less personal note, the bar on my ICB machine hangs a little to the right so the ball comes out and rolls out of the way before the game starts up again.

Yes, I have everything nice and clean. I used acetone to clean up all three bars which made them nice and shiny. Then I dried them and coated them all with silicone spray so they are good and slippery.

Have you adjusted one of these before? I'll give it a shot today. It's just really tight in there and I'm having a hard time seeing which way to bend the leaf switch to get it to adjust like that. It doesn't LOOK like there's much room for adjustment but I'm sure you are right.

I've had to order in replacement leaf switches because I tried just bending the leaf and the whole switch flew apart. Next time I did it right and actually loosened the nuts hold the switch in place. There are two of them... just loosen the bottom nut a little and that should let you swing the switch back a hair... just a little bit is all it takes.

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to know....I was all prepared to spend time bending the leaf switch but that just didn't seem right. I just loosened up the bottom screw and, as you indicated, the whole switch hinged on the top screw and it had plenty of room for adjustment. Works perfect now!

I guess I'll just use it with that piece glued in for now since it seems to be holding. But hopefully a good solid one will turn up at some point. If not, and it breaks again then I'll look at remanufacturing the part.

Thanks guys!
