Received some artwork from an Op and it was rolled up in a triangle tube that looks like it was crushed. So the artwork has a couple creases on it. Has anyone used a method that was sucessful in removing creases? I'd return it but it is a unobtainum piece. Help......

I had the same thing happen to some i ordered. I claimed the insurance. I still have the ones that were damaged and they have been sitting under a heavy book for a few weeks in attempt to flatten the crease. I don't think it's coming out.

It's plastic, you can't really. I would try though heating it with a blow dryer, than carefully bending it back in the opposite direction.

I've used heat for many things when I restore and it seems to work. An example is heat to flame polish pinball ramps.

Ive fixed some hard creases before back to workable condition. All I did was softly reverse the crease in the opposite direction (DO NOT FOLD, RATHER MAKE A SMALL ROLL ) and held it there with tape in that slightly rolled position for a day or 2 in a warm room to help the ply soften. In worst case scenario Ive also eliminated some creases by lightly grooming either side of the art with a credit card.

I put my side art on pool table then got some cardboard and put on top of it so it'll lay flat. Then took weight disc from the bench press and sat them on top of the cardboard on all the problem areas and sides. The more the problem the more weight it got. Kind of helped but wasn't 100 % perfect. I would of tried the hair dryer trick but I was two scared. I could see where it would help but seems risky.

Maybe if you got it flat enough you could apply it very carefully and get the folds out that way just from having it stick to something else. My intent wasn't to use what I was working with.

Awesome suggestions!!!!
I'll give it a try and post some photos with my results.
