I scanned my SI Trimline CPO and have 2 JPG files that need to be joined and converted to vectors.

Can anyone recommend a process, or a site that shows the process, for creating a vector of the images? I am interested in application (Windows) recommendations as well.

thanks for any info,
John

You would want to use a program such as Adobe Illustrator and import the jpgs and trace them.

Yep, that's how I do it.

Although there are some auto-vector sites online that can do it, but it's not always perfect.

All the best

You don't need to vectorize if the resolution is high enough

Tracing at 300 dpi will do just fine.

Scanning is normally recommended at 600 dpi, which is a huge file

300 dpi tracing is usually enough, then vectorizing is not needed

Thanks for the info, everyone!

Guess I'll be learning Illustrator after I get my new computer assembled.

Etienne, your posts on the other site are impressive and inspiring.
