How common are asteroid deluxe caberets?

As you can see, Asteroids Deluxe fairly common for a cabaret. That, Battlezone, and Centipede are the three most common ones I've seen. Probably Tempest after that, then Missile Command.

I have two Deluxe machines, one is in my game room, the other is an empty cab, but in really nice shape. Only ever seen two Asteroids Cabarets, I bought them both (separately) and still have one. Just put NOS burn-free tubes in both (and Battlezone).

Saw one on location not long ago. It was looking a bit rough, but certainly salvageable. The guy wasn't interested in parting with it, but I'm not entirely done yet. :)

well, its not an alternate CPO. Atari only sold one. Its an aftermarket cpo. I think its willis, but I am not sure. If you like it, that's all that matters.

Here's my Asteroids DX cabaret......added a custom bezel like the upright.

And I also have a full sized upright with alternate CPO.

it still looks pretty fresh..

I just got my AR1 from andrew, the deflection board from matty-t and
the pcb is done (ray at wide area repair) on its way back.
I just put new dark blue t molding and im rebuilding the HV section today.
the only thing left is the cpo.
I was thinking about changing the tinted plexi out , i have new old stock
tinted plexi i can cut to size. get rid of the scuffs.

I fixed one up for Dave Sheppard, the designer of Asteroids Deluxe. He wanted a cabaret instead of the full size. That mark on the side of the cabinet is actually in the photo, not on the game. This had a NOS overlay installed and new woodgrain put on the sides.

I went with tinted glass on mine - took the old one to a glass shop and had them cut a fresh piece for me - then added the bezel overlay of course.

For the CPO - I got one from PhoenixArcade that's awesome. Haven't had a chance to install it yet, but it looks fantastic.

Lewis' dad from Revenge of the Nerds was a game designer? figures.

Someone on Klov trying to point out how nerdy a game designer is....

Your pocket protector is showing.

Just a joke... yes we are all nerds in one way or another. Some of us choose to wear the approved uniform from the Keith Apicary collection some do not.
