How come no one has made a System1 multigame?

With a CPO art package supported from someone like Darin?

The biggest issue I see isn't the Marble Madness trakballs but rather the support for 2 types of joystick - 2 trakballs and 1 stick isn't so bad but it might get a bit crowded with all four.

Thoughts? I'm sure a kit on a daughter card isn't outside of the realms of impossibility.

System I uses a chip called a slipstik chip. Every different daughter card for System I had a unique (or mostly unique) slipstik chip. That means that even though a Marble Madness board is the same as an Indiana Jones board, the slipstik chip is unique and just swapping the ROMs would not work.

I believe someone had hacked the Slipstik chip on some boards, but it would be a difficult multigame to build.

I'm sure with a hacked slipstick as part of the multigame it would be more than possible. There's so many clever multigame people out there.

It would be awesome indeed.

The slapstik operation is documented/cracked and implemented by MAME-
It seems like you could create a multi-slapstik just like people burn larger EPROMS.

I would think the control panel would be the worse thing-
MM- two trakballs
RB- steering yoke/pedal
RR- optical/field effect stick
IJ and PP - joystick/buttons

Was Indiana Jones a optical/hall effect stick? I'm pretty sure Road Runner was.
Don't know what kind of stick Packrat had.

A multi CP would be ugly and swapping them around would be rough too.
The single board would beat trying to find $300-$400 boards though...

Kerry that's a good idea.

single multigame kit on a original daughter card and you just swap the control panel.

I think you could have a tasteful multipanel if you did just MM/IJ/PPR

RR is the hall effect
RB is the flight controller pedal

The production version of Relief Pitcher wasn't a System I game, but there are rumors that an unreleased prototype was in development as a System I.

How would you play Marble Madness with other stuff in the way? :)
