How can I remove bondo hole plugs from a wood Stargate CP?

I have a Stargate CP thats been plugged with bondo. Is there any way to remove the plugs without drilling? I dont have a way to replicate the original style step down button holes. Any hope of knocking the plugs out without damaging something?

buy a cheap forstner drill bit set at harbor freight . A drill press would be very helpful also . That's the only way I know of to do it right .

I had pretty good luck with a small chunk of wood dowel, just a few mm smaller in diameter than the plug. Suspend the control panel over a large hole or brace the sides, then place a chunk of wood dowel over the bondo plug, and give it a sharp rap with your rubber mallet or hammer. The plug should pop out.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just remembered I bought a drill press a few years ago, still new in the box in my shed. If I can't knock them out I guess I'll have to dig it out.

2nd on the Fosterer's bits. I bought a set from Lowes for a reasonable price. So far, I used them to recess the leg screws for a woodrail pinball machine that I had a new leg made for, and to cut the first hole for my hand-sanded Heyco fitting hole on a junction box. Worked great. The junction box work left a nice, curlicue shaving.

If you try to knock it out, make sure you support it from the bottom, or you could bend the metal.
