How big is your game room?

1100 sq ft house... Living room & a spare bedroom converted into arcade space. Living room is 17x13, and spare bedroom is 8x11.

That's the indoors.

Then I have a huge covered back porch. Concrete with roof over it, in dry, arid AZ. Covered with games.

Carport. Fulla games.

6x12 enclosed trailer. Now being used as storage for games.

3 different friends have my games at their pads.

I have over 45 games.
He do, I seen it!!!

We have a 600 sq ft addition off the back of the house. Right now there are 10 games in there, but it's all a mess and needs to be organized before I add any more.

We have a ping pong table and a basketball pop-a-shot game in there as well. My family loves them, but they take up so much room! Trying to decide if it's going to be a straight up arcade with not much else, or if it's going to be a general game room that has a bunch of arcade machines in it. I've always envisioned a love seat with a CRT TV for console gaming. lol Lots of planning and thinking to do.

I've been playing around with this room planner on Pottery Barn's website at work. It's stupid simple, but it gets the job done for me. If you use the "Symbols" tab you can select either a pinball, stand up, or cocktail arcade game symbol to plop down in your room (and whatever else you might want in a game room).

We have about 500sqft for the gameroom itself in the basement, and I house approx 4 pins and 20ish games (fluctuates between 20-23), and another 250sqft for the console/movie/entertainment area directly adjacent (Zero games allowed here by order of the wife).

I also had a garage arcade (2-1/2 car) which has since descended into chaos and is now shop space with a bunch of working games piled in the corner (20ish games).

And then there's the auxiliary game room at my friends house where I have sent about 10 games to live for a short while, and a small game room at the parents vacation property up north.

We've made the most of the small amount of space I have been fortunate enough to wrestle from the wife, but I am now at a point of outgrowing and overflowing. The next step is to lease a storefront and move most, if not all, of the games there. We are currently shopping locations now.

An " auxiliary game room " - I like the sound of that . A main game room and an auxiliary .

My mancave is about 1/3 of a structure that is detached from the main house, on our property. The man cave space is about 17' x 11', partially finished, and is about maxxed out in its current layout. I've got 4 cabs, my desk/work-from-home area, and a heavily populated console corner. I pull out a 6' fold-up table whenever I need to do testing, repairs, etc. I've got space for at least one more cabinet, if I move the two boxes of vinyl records that are currently on the floor where a cabinet could go. I could remove a table and some chairs in one corner, and potentially make that 2-3 additional cabs...but frankly, the small table and chairs adds to the ambiance, and provides someplace to sit and drink beer when it's more than just me playing.

I worked up the current layout in autocad when I determined to create the console corner, and the space is being used about as efficiently as possible.

I only have four machines total as well and could fit six more if I got rid of a commercial sofa/bench thing I have in there but most people just want to hang and sit so the bench comes in handy. I used to cram them in and have them everywhere as well but it feels good sometimes to have less.

429 sq ft. Fits 24 games comfortably. Have a smaller classic console/chill room that I may end up putting my Nintendo games in when the main room gets to capacity. It's already decorated in Mario stuff, so I think that'll fit nicely.

My gameroom building is 1400sqft. Currently 51 games but I mapped it to hold a max of 78 games.

I got 1,300 sqft basement and I have 8 games in it, an it still looks super empty. It's frustrating trying to fill it with decor and etc.

How big is your space? How many games you got?

So, you are complaining about have TOO MUCH space?

I think you are in the wrong forum...

You SHOULD BE complaining about only having 8 games. (which is still a good amount)

Oh, and is custom on this forum, pics or it didn't happen! (the decor and such)

:D

You know you've got a sweet setup when you have numbers on the walls that serve as coordinates.

"Scared Stiff? Sure, no problem. That's over at 2-2."

Nice!
Coordinates, I never thought of it that way. That is good. I need to use that statement at my next arcade party.
