How big is your game room?

Can we be friends? lol

I have thrown the idea around about having warehouses in other states. You see it doesn't make much sense to drive across the usa for one game. Maybe a shipping container or maybe a tractor trailer full of 80s classics makes much more sense.

I have even toss the idea around about buy a house around a buddy place converting it into an arcade Bed n breakfast place. Who wouldn't want to sleep in an arcade theme house in Texas?

Sorry off topic laughs..

I just want to say one thing, since Alpha kinda brought it up:

Despite being in a small house(~900sq/ft total)..... you guys with much larger houses, and basements, and all that..... don't feel bad about "bragging". Seriously... I was taking the piss earlier, but in a jovial way. I hope to one day have something like that, but I certainly don't harbor any ill feelings towards those who do. In all honesty, you guys give me inspiration to make the most of what little space I do have.

We're all collectors, here. To the extent of our means.

Hell, there are people out there in the world without electricity and clean water. No matter my problems, I'm really blessed, if you think about it. I've got a roof over my head, food in my belly, and I "want" for very little.

It's all about perspective.

So, keep showing off. I'm digging it. :D

I probably have one of the smallest game rooms on here, only around 10' x 12'. It holds 7 or 8 games comfortably. Once I open up the basement fully, connecting what is now the "laundry area" and the game room, it will be about 3 times as big.

Well stated Iggy. My entire house is only 1100 square feet, and folks here have spare bedrooms of that size. Lol. But I have no issues with people showing off. Gives me something to aspire to, and also shows me I'm not the only one trying to fit into a tight space.

If you've got it, flaunt it. It's not your fault that I bought a house at the absolutely worst time and am now stuck in it until I win the lottery. :) I can leave vicariously through your photos. :p

My game room is about 600 sqft. I've got 12 games in there, plus a couch and a good size TV. Once finances settle down, I should be able to squeeze 2-3 more games in there no problem.

My mancave is about 1/3 of a structure that is detached from the main house, on our property. The man cave space is about 17' x 11', partially finished, and is about maxxed out in its current layout. I've got 4 cabs, my desk/work-from-home area, and a heavily populated console corner. I pull out a 6' fold-up table whenever I need to do testing, repairs, etc. I've got space for at least one more cabinet, if I move the two boxes of vinyl records that are currently on the floor where a cabinet could go. I could remove a table and some chairs in one corner, and potentially make that 2-3 additional cabs...but frankly, the small table and chairs adds to the ambiance, and provides someplace to sit and drink beer when it's more than just me playing.

I worked up the current layout in autocad when I determined to create the console corner, and the space is being used about as efficiently as possible.

I got 1,300 sqft basement and I have 8 games in it, an it still looks super empty. It's frustrating trying to fill it with decor and etc.

How big is your space? How many games you got?

before you know it , itll be full of crap and youll be trying to get id of half for room and money to fix the rest lol..

1300 square feet... you have a great start just having that much space...

1800 Square Feet (30ft by 60 ft) Custom arcade bldg right in my backyard..yeah I feel pretty lucky..but I worked hard to save for it and it was in the planning for over 13 years before I did it. Prior to that I had a full size basement with around 30-35 games and around 15 pinballs.

I've got 3 different spots in the house where I have games, and they're all pretty small.

My main game room, "Zombies Ate My Arcade," is like 13X14 and houses 6 pins and 2 vids. That's the one that's hidden behind a book case:

Then I've got "Room 237" upstairs, which is my 80's/Shining-themed game room, with 6 vids and 1 pin. That room's even smaller; probably like 11X12

Lastly, I've got my pirate bar, where I've got my Donkey Kong and Warlords cocktail:

Thank you very, very much!

Not sure on the square footage because I haven't measured for myself just yet, but this should give you a good idea. 30 machines total...

Mike your game room turned out pretty sweet. Nice selection and always looking minty fresh.

Wonderland

My dream arcade set up!!! Nice work sir... You know I'm still available for adoption... Everyone has a cabana boy... I'll be the arcade boy!!!!

I've got around 630 sq ft. It fits ten people really comfortably, more if they are playing the games.
Most or our friends are in awe of the set-up, but just sit at the bar and talk.

1100 sq ft house... Living room & a spare bedroom converted into arcade space. Living room is 17x13, and spare bedroom is 8x11.

That's the indoors.

Then I have a huge covered back porch. Concrete with roof over it, in dry, arid AZ. Covered with games.

Carport. Fulla games.

6x12 enclosed trailer. Now being used as storage for games.

3 different friends have my games at their pads.

I have over 45 games.
