On a pinball 2000 machine? Something that can be fixed, arrested or the start of a spiral? Also wondering opinions on how much it would devalue a machine like RFM or SW (PB2000)

Thanks!

I'd say it's a pretty big deal. Left alone it will continue to occur. It may even continue if you were to repair the damage and re-clearcoat the playfield. There were some weird binding issues with the clearcoat used in P2K games it seems as this is a pretty common issue.

Can you post pictures?

Its just over the lights...I assume its because they get hot and the paint peels...

The pics I have are massive, dont show it very well and I havent uploaded them to a fileshare site unfortnately

the pictures can be cropped in windows to make them smaller and then uploaded.

have the same issue with a funhouse on ALL the inserts. my theory is the machine was in a flood or very humid enviroment. when you run your hand flat on the PF you can feel all the "bubbles". one possible solution, short of PF replacement is to drill a very small hole from underneath and into the bubble without going through the mylar. that should be easy :)
using a needle into the hole and injecting clearcoat into the bubble and pressing the bubble flat from above.

I don't think he has mylar on his game. I think the actual clearcoat is de-laminating from the inserts... but I may have misunderstood?
